Would A Netbook Be Sufficient For College Life?
February 5th, 2010 by admin | Filed under technie stuff.I’m heading off to college in a few months and I’m shopping around for laptops and was wondering if a Netbook would suffice for college level work. I’m not majoring in computer science or anything but i will need it for general college work - whatever that may be…
Or would a traditional Notebook work best?
I also have a decent PC back home that i can always revert back to, so this purchase would technically be my secondary machine.
Any suggestions and or considerations appreciated!

It should work out for you. They are small and light easy to take to class or be around campus on your bed in your dorm or apt so its perfect for a second computer.
One big drawback is they have no CD drive so if you need to install something you will have to use other means…same thing for saving you would need a flash drive or something if you want to put that on your other computer..
A netbook is a little light weight for everything college can throw at you. A used 2-3 year old full function notebook with XP on it will serve fine. You really need MS Office. Specially Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
