I use this book as a tool for providing small group counseling for elementary students. It helps kids understand that they did not cause the divorce so they can’t fix it. It helps begin discussions about feelings and concerns they may have about two houses, two families, two sets of rules and other changes that happen as a result of a divorce.

I bought this book for my son who is 9. He didn’t understand why we divorced or anything about it. He loves this book. He said it made him feel so much better. I think it is great how it has other children’s views written throughout the book. My son felt he was feeling the same way as the other kids, and he knew it was ok.

Great book for anyone with a curious child who doesn’t understand.
