Is there a reason my old yellow cat 5e patch cable that I run from the modem directly to a device works with my desktop, netbook, and 360, but my new black one works only with my netbook, 360 and NOT my desktop? Shouldn’t all cat 5e cable work with any device that uses them?

I’ve never really thought of it because I’ve always lived in the state I worked in. I know someone looking to move to Portland,OR (where they have a huge income tax but no sales tax). Vancouver, WA is only a 15 minute drive away, so she’s thinking of moving there (where there is no income tax and a huge sales tax). Will she pay income tax to Oregon because she’ll work there or will she be spared because she’ll live in Washington?

I have been researching toy breeds for quite some time, trying to figure out which toy breed would fit my needs best. I’m usually working 8 hours a day (forty hours per week) and I have no other pets, so I’m looking for a dog that will be okay by itself while I’m at work. Other characteristics that I’m looking for in my new pet is that it is small (preferably under 10 lbs), is friendly with other people/animals, loves to sit in my lap, and is not an obsessive barker. I live in an apt complex right now and I don’t think my neighbors would appreciate a loud dog barking all day while I’m a work. Any ideas on what toy breed may be right for me?

I recently got a Sansa Fuze 8 GB mp3 player and first used it at work. It came w/ a Rhapsody cd and 15 day free trial. I downlaoded the cd on work computer, as I do not have internet at home. But when i plugged the MP3 player at home my computer did not recognize it like my work comp immediately did. What do i need to do?
