I live in an apartment and am looking into buying a toy dog. Most of the breeds I have looked at (including Poms and Pugs) are either inclined to bite or difficult to housetrain. is there any minimum period which we have to show as seperation period as per legal rules before filing for divorce. if yes, do we need to file for legal seperation or can we show it just by telling that we have been seperate since ….so much period? i mean should this seperation period be started after some paper work or can we just tell it at time of divorce?

I’ve got a nice library of music on my computer that I’ve ripped from CD, mostly at 256kbs. I’m wanting to copy a lot of it onto an mp3 player (not an IPod), but wanting to be able to get as much music on as possible, so I’m wanting to make copies of the songs at, say, a 96kbs rip rate. But I don’t want to have to sit down and re-rip every single cd (what can I say, I’m lazy) Is there a way to make lower bit rate copies of the songs without doing it over again, and if so, what programs do it well? I need the songs to end up in mp3 or wma formats when done.

I’m thinking about turning my online selling into a business, and I’m trying to get a feel for the tax-related pros and cons of making it official.
Here are 2 questions:
(1) I understand that I can write off business expenses on my tax returns. That includes computer equipment, trips overseas to purchase merchandise, etc. But I’ve never itemized my tax return before. Would I get more money back if I start a business, and then itemize my deductions rather than just taking the default deduction like I always do?
(2) If I make my online selling into an official business, will I have to pay extra business-related taxes?
