Okay so I have a old desktop that I don’t use and I have a netbook that doesn’t have a optical drive. Since I don’t use it is it possible to remove the disc drive from the desktop and hook it up to my netbook? Im not so sure because i opened the desktop and the drive is connected with a bunch of wires unlike external disc drives that are just USB. So could it be done?

My Netbook running Windows 7 has a nice tft display. However, it just lays around when I work at home. It would be nice if I could re-use the screen like a multi monitor setup, just without an extra monitor but my Laptop to extend the workspace. The Laptop has a DVI output but no DVI input. I have just download Handbrake, a DVD converter program, onto my Netbook. How do I transfer it to my desktop computer using my memory stick. I have tried putting it on the memory stick but it says it is just the shortcut.
