Self-improvement?

September 12th, 2009 by admin | Filed under self improvement.

I am a 28 year old lady, and recently started thinking of working on my self-imporvement. I figured it is good to start with the way I look - like keeping my nails done, thinking of color balance of the clothes I wear etc. I also started thinking abt health which encouraged me to join the gym and smoke less. Do you have any ideas of good ways of self-improvement? I feel I need to become a better person, also people who look nice and are positive and nice to everybody, tend to be more successful in their life. If you have any ideas of what areas in a person usually need improvement, and more importantly, the ways how you can become a better person, please drop a note! Thank you in advance.

If you needed to connect pc to tv, could you do it?

    Hello kavai,
Congrats on your decision to work on yourself to become the outstanding person you were designed to be.
Once you start to make the changes, you will not want to look back.
There are tons of self improvement tools available for you to help you in this journey. A good place to start is to pick one of the well known self improvement teachers and become a student of their work, either by reading, listening to audio, or even attending an event. You will find free information about self improvement teachers and concepts at http://www.self-improvement-to-personal-development.com/index.html.
It also has information about affirmations, inspirational quotes and other cool stuff.
Personally, I’ve been deeply involved in self improvement for over 10 years now. I would say you are unlikely to go wrong with anything Tony Robbins.
Also, you may want to check out some online forums dedicated to supporting one another in their self improvement quest. A really good one is http://www.successvibe.com/forum/
Hope this helps and to cheers to your continued personal wellness,
    Kay

It sounds like you are off to a good start. Another thing you can do is surround yourself with positive friends and family. Try to stay away from people who may bring you down. You could also keep your mind sharp by reading or doing other things that challenge you. I am twenty seven and also have some goals for a better me bofore I hit my thirties. Good Luck

There is this fantastic book called “psycho-cybernetics” but dr. maltz. it is amazing. look it up on amazon (paperback is cheaper). you dont just read this book, but you have to really practice and work with it and you will see amazing results. the things you have said above seem to not really be self-improvement totally. doing your nails and matching clothes is for you, but also for other people. if you really wanna get down deep into your core, get this book. it helps you change the way you think about things in such a wonderful way and can help you do almost anything you want to, or think you can’t. it can help with stress, relaxing, public speaking, following your dreams… everything. if you take what this book says to heart and put it into practice, your life will never be the same. i am doing it right now and im not even done and i have seen fantastic results! get it get it get it! you will benefit so much! AND it brings science together with spirituality a bit. if you are not religious, you can disregard it. but that is one of the reasons i liked it so much.

The best way, without a doubt, are affirmations. Everything in your life is a result of your thoughts so if you want to change your outer world you need to first change your inner world.
You can go to the gym, but if your still telling yourself your while at the gym that you are not what you wish you were, then they gym will do nothing for you. You need to believe you are while you are!
There is a wonderful woman named Louise Hay, and she had devoted her life to helping people become who they always Knew they could be. Go to HayHouse.com and you will find an abundance of WONDERFUL books, DVDs and Cd’s, many of which have affirmations.
There is also hayhouseradio.com where you can listen to all types of people ranging from PhD.d’s to scientist to spiritual, to psychics, to average people telling fantastic ways of becoming the person you have always been but just didn’t realize.
A great book to read to better your life is “the divine matrix” by Gregg Braden. Rent it from the library before buying it because it is only for those who are really ready to change. Also, “Disappearance of the Universe” by greg renard is awesome, but also only for the ones are really ready.

How is your self esteem? While the outward stuff contributes to how we feel about ourselves, sometimes there are issues we need to deal with so we can grow as people and live more fulfilling lives. Are you confident with healthy self esteem, or does that aspect of your life need work? While improving the outside don’t neglect the inside.
