I bought this to solve a problem at work - new people are using a washcloth to clean dishes (even though we have a dishwasher) and leaving the damp, dirty washcloth on the edge of the sink so that one must arch back so as not to touch it when using the sink. Yech! I thought providing a hook would encourage them to hang the washcloth off to the side. So far, it is working
I am happy to report the adhesive is sticking to the wall and successfully holding up the washcloth. For the price, I assumed it was made of some kind of metal, but alas it is made of cheap plastic. I’d be hesitant to put anything more than a dishtowel on there. It simply won’t hold the weight.
The hook part itself is a bit smaller than I expected (less than 2 inches). Again, working for the washcloth, but not much else.
It isn’t worth my time and effort to return it (and I’ve used it), but if I’d known how light and cheaply made it was, I’d probably have bought one of those 3M white plastic hooks for around $1. This is a bit prettier, but not $4 prettier.
