I recieved my laser level a few weeks ago and have used it to hang shelves, a few pictures and even did some remodeling of the kitchen. It was extremely useful once I figured it out. I only say that because it came with no directions. There is a knob on the bottom you screw and unscrew to use the self leveling feature. The tripod is not bulletproof but functional. The only downside is that unless you are using the laser at dusk or dawn you are not going to see it at all. So for indoor projects it is perfect, if you are wanting a laser for outdoor projects, then keep looking.
