How To Play Against Others On Different Wii Consoles?

I think I might know how. Is it: you put in the “wi-fi” compatible game (i.e Mario Kart Wii) and something like “Use “Wi-Fi”" or something will come up like that.Then, you select a person or put in a persons “Wii number” and they will come up and then you start playing?

Correct. But I don’t think Mario Kart requires friend codes or wii numbers.
