How Do I Play The Piano In A More Relaxed State?
February 6th, 2010 by admin | Filed under sports. When I sit down and play the piano, my fingers have been feeling stiff, and so is the rest of my body. At times, I hear my brain telling me to play this note and that, and in the end I get all confused and screw up the piece. Also, I can never finish a peice without making a mistake. I feel tense, and even stressed. Can anyone tell me why is this so? And how to I get into that relaxed state of mind?
Confucius say: If you learn dance, you will be far happier than those who don’t.
Breathe from the diaphram..monitor your self talk, art is a release, so enjoy your own skills…
Write a song. It doesn’t have to be a great song. Spend a little time just noodling until you come up with a theme, then write it down. Get comfortable with it, then play it for a few friends. There is nothing quite as relaxing as letting the music flow directly out of you. Hope this helps.
Sounds like you are a bit nervous and not really that experienced yet.Find a simple song, one that you really like the melody. When you practice the note reading, take your time and get it accurate FIRST,then after practicing for awhile,it will get easier every time you play it.The most important thing to remember is to LISTEN.After you get the notes down, concentrate on the melody and the sound you are creating.LISTEN!!!!!
try to relax and meditate. close your eyes and visualize
playing the piano. listen to very soft music. and tell yourself
to release all tensions you have in your mind and body.
