Can I Turn My Netbook Into A Dual Monitor For My Desktop Pc?
October 29th, 2009 by admin | Filed under technie stuff. My Netbook running Windows 7 has a nice tft display. However, it just lays around when I work at home. It would be nice if I could re-use the screen like a multi monitor setup, just without an extra monitor but my Laptop to extend the workspace. The Laptop has a DVI output but no DVI input. Is it possible at all?

Yes, there is a software(!), called MaxiVista, that can do that. I used for my two laptops and it works as a champ. There is a video demo and a trial download at http://www.maxivista.com
You’d need a USB video capture device that’s compatible with DVI. There’d be a slight delay, but, it would be doable.
Realisitically though, not worth the trouble; you could buy a second monitor with the cost of some of the better USB capture devices.
talk to radio shack or some other computer store im sure youll be able to do it
